Christian's
amazing story
Started
going sideways in a turbo charged Datsun 510 about
8 years ago, saw a few Option Dvd’s and realized
drifting was what I wanted to do. 2005 was my first
year in competition taking out the South Australian
Drift Championships, South Australian Team Drift Championships
and also taking home a few podium finishes nationally.
In 2006 team Delirium and myself once again took out
the state and this time National Team drift championships.
For Xmas in 2006 I was diagnosed with cancer and had
to have immediate surgery followed by 4 months of
Chemotherapy, all this was done in between racing
in the state and national drift championships, with
more motivation than ever to get in the car and race
I finished on the podium at every race I attended
whilst undergoing my Chemo. Then in May I was told
I needed major surgery to remove affected limphnodes
in my stomach, Long story short, 65 stitches across
my abdomen and 8 weeks later I was back in the drivers
seat defending my lead in the national championship,
after the end of 2007 I finished 2nd in the Drift
Australia Championship and took a clean sweep of the
State Championships, Receiving an invite to the 2007
D1 World All Stars.
